Quick trip to San Diego~Jan. 8th-11th

This trip was so fun and relaxing. Timing was perfect. It was the weekend before Chris' busy season started at Deloitte & Touche. Busy Season at Deloitte means 3months of about 60hr work weeks. So we thought we ought to get away, just the two of us. We did Disneyland, San Diego Zoo(which was my first time there and I absolutely LOVED it) and we went over to Coronado Island and ate ice cream on the deck at Hotel Del. But anyway, here are some pictures of that weekend...

Debbie Downer Regret...

So of course I have to come out of blog hibernation with debbie downer news! How horrible is that!? It did feel really good to vent but I have to admit that I feel a little guilty. I realize there are many worse things out there and I shouldn't be complaining. Chris and I talked to Dr. Rychlik yesterday and we're pretty confident in-vitro is going to work! So that's very exciting. So before I do in-vitro, my doctor requires that I go to this one hour class his clinic provides. It basically goes over everything involved with in-vitro. I just think it's awesome that they do that, because nothing is worse then the unknown. But if any of you know someone who went to THE BEST fertility doctor, let me know! I feel the need to do a little bit of research to make sure I'm spending my money and time wisely. And thank you so much to everyone for your kind words. That really meant a lot. Something makes me feel bad about getting that sympathy tho, but I kind of asked for it, didn't I?? Oops. Like I said, I know everyone has their own trials right now and we're all just trying to make it through each day! I guess the upside to blogging is that you're allowed to post whatever you want to! And if venting makes you feel good, BY GOLLY VENT!!

ANYWAY.... I think it's time to pull out the ole memory card from the camera and catch up on some posts, what do you think?!!

BTW, hibernation was awesome... EVERYONE should do it! No, really! Come Halloween, everyone should forget about blogging and just focus on fattening up. Its perfect really. You have Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Eve, GROUNDHOG DAY and Valentines. Fun.

To Be Bitter...or Not To Be Bitter...

You see...I was supposed to be pregnant right now. Actually, I was supposed to be pregnant last October. But really, I really should've accidentally been impregnated some time in the last 4yrs...seeing how nothing was ever done to prevent it. But no...for some reason, some reason much bigger than you or I could know...I'm not pregnant. 4 months with the fertility specialist, mastering how to give myself a shot (which I have to admit, I actually have enjoyed feeling like a little nurse), the two week dreadful waiting period for finding out whether or not the turkey baster worked, a couple of family fasts(thank you family), and many many visits to the Dr for ultra sounds...I'm not pregnant.
I'll tell you something...Camelback Mountain will most definitely be feeling my anger tomorrow!! hehe, jk. But really, I am going to do my new recent favorite thing tomorrow...jog up as much of Camelback as I can. And then a fun little trip to Scottsdale Mall w/ my mother n-law and new found and very much loved extended cousins, Debbie and Ghislaine and Great Aunt Cletha...A perfect way to spend my Beloved Half Day Tuesday.
I have an appointment w/ my doctor on Wednesday to discuss what will be next...I'm thinking it will most likely be in-vitro. To many of you, in-vitro isn't a big deal because you hear about people doing it all the time now. But I wasn't supposed to need to do in-vitro. There's nothing wrong with me, dangit!! So it is a big deal to me. But I won't be thinking about that tomorrow. Tomorrow will be my day. My day to do things that give me relief. Make me happy. ENDORPHINS, I miss you. I've been cutting back on the vigorous running for my IUI's. But I think I'm going to take a breather. Yes, in-vitro can wait until summer. Summer is a very relaxed time of year. Perfect. I need relaxed.
Not to be bitter...that's what I choose.
