HAPPY BIRTHDAY COURTNEY!

There are so many things that I love about Courtney that the list could go on and on it's pathetic. But I think she'd feel embarrased if I listed all of them because she's all too humble. I wanted to title this post, "Reasons I idolize this Birtday Girl!". I guess I'll save that for when I feel she deserves payback. That's crazy that I feel a payback for her would be to point out all her amazing qualities, strengths, the fact that she has impeccable skin, the hottest body(& that's after 4 kids) etc etc... to everyone else. I guess that tells you just how all around PERFECT Courtney is. Oh and don't worry Courtney, I know...we all know you're not perfect, I mean who is!? I'm sure you do have some flaws.....that everyone else would hardly consider flaws!

LOVE YOU....WE all love you, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Ragnar Relay-Wasatch Back here we come!

So, Chris and I decided to waste, no not waste, enjoy our Saturday by driving the Relay Course. It starts in Logan, which is exactly 2 hours north of Provo, and runs through numerous small towns

The BEST BBQ ever, Harley and Bucks Grill!
,

up and down mountains

,
...Christy and Jana's hills...
alongside about 10 different Reservoirs, climbs up the backside of Deer Valley, to the point where the green disappears & the snow is in abundance(sorry Meghan & Courtney, haha)

...Courtney and Meghan, you start down there, picture doesn't do it justice...
then it ends in Park City! 180 miles, 12 people, 2 days....haha, this is going to be fun!!
I'm laughing at the moment, not sure whether its about the fact that I'm literally going to fall & tumble down the mountain on my first leg or the fact that I'm going to be in a MINI-van for about 28hrs with 5 men. HA!

We're CHEAP! There you go...I've said it!

We don't have internet in our humble basement home! Nor do we have cable or the fancy DVR all of you take for granted. Because of that, I missed the first 2 weeks of 'so you think you can dance'. BLASTED! That's right....when we want to record something we pop in the ancient VHS tape. I bet some of you have even forgotten what a VHS tape is! I think the only other people on the face of this planet that don't have cable and DVR are Kevin and Daina Horne. You have no idea how disconcerting that is to me....Chris is so much his Dad and his Mom. Ya, sure we'll always be dressed nice(thank you Daina, I will always be indebted to you for that) but will we ever own one of those precious DVR machines(I don't even know what they're called) or will I ever have the chance to get hooked on to one of those food network shows or MTV shows?? I don't think so. But surprisingly, I think I'm ok with that.
NOW, on to what we've been up to for the last couple of months....pictures will have to come later(I'm at work and they're kinda nazi's and I don't think they'd appreciate me downloading pics to this computer)
APRIL
*Chris and I ran the SLC 1/2 marathon. Chris stayed by my side to help pace me for a PR. I was dead at the end and wasn't able to appreciate that until a good 15 min after finishing. I just felt pain and remorse for pushing myself so hard. But then that went away and I was so grateful for my sweet husband for helping me and not worrying about a good time for himself.
*Chris graduated!! My Mom & Dad came up for it along with his Mom & Dad, Annie, Courtney and his Uncle Gary & Aunt Sue. It was a lot of fun having everyone up here. And I'm sure his Dad and Uncle Gary will always be glad they made the 10hr drive only to miss Chris' name being announced. Hysterical. Those lil goons were just chatting away out in the hallway and missed it!

MAY
We celebrated Chris' graduation by going on a cruise with Brett and Rachel Miller. Our stops were Coco Cay Bahamas, St Thomas, and St Martin. And we also got to go to Disney World free, thank you Rach!! So really, it kind of felt like two vacations in one. It was so much fun with the Millers. We were always entertained! Whether it was Rachel obsessing about anything involved with Space(she teaches 1st grade and I guess the last 2 weeks involved space this and space that), or her turning the ladies bicep contest into a "So you think you can dance" contest, or her beginners luck at Roulette and not so beginners luck at Bingo, or the fact they almost didn't make it on the ship (that explains Rachel's tears. They were the last 2 on the ship!). It was so much fun and can't wait for another excuse to spend a butt load of money and travel with these two! Love you guys!!

My ideal weekend.....

What does my ideal weekend consist of?? Eating out, seeing a movie, eating out, running, eating out, seeing a movie and so on. So this past weekend was so my ideal weekend and more. Friday night was CPK, Maggie Moo's for Chris and 2 White Chocolate Fudge Cookies from Smart Cookie for Christy and then the cute cheesy movie 'Horton hears a Who' with, ofcourse, a Large Diet Coke to share. Saturday morning was our traditional Einsteins Bagel. We go every Saturday morning and take at least an hour to eat a bagel and ofcourse, we share a Diet Coke. Love it! Then it was off to our 10 mile run. My friend, Amy joined us this time and it was the furthest she had ever ran and she did GREAT! But I think what got her through the last 2 miles was knowing that we'd be eating at Pei Wei and getting Paradise Bakery Chippers to go. Mmmmmm, black & white chippers, mmmmm. My mouth is salivating right now. You don't understand...eating at Pei Wei or Paradise Bakery is a real treat for us Provo Residents. It's a pretty good drive to the nearest location.
After that, Chris and I went to the gym and sat in the jacuzzi. Gross right?! We ran 10 miles and then sat our filthy bodies in the public jacuzzi. Haha. I don't care, it felt great. Then off to another cheesy, but not so cute, movie 'Alvin & the Chipmunks'. The only thing I enjoyed in that theater was my popcorn and Large Diet Coke to share. Movie theater popcorn is so worth it though, so all was well. Sunday morning was perfect for an Easter morning. We drove up to the Tabernacle to listen to Music & The Spoken Word.(pictures to come) I love listening to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir live. It was a beautiful program. If I could wake up that early every Sunday morning and if I didn't mind the drive, I'd do it every week. And when we got home from church, we discovered that the Easter Bunny had made a stop at our home. She even hid some eggs to create an Easter Egg hunt for us and I heard she hopped across the grass when delivering the sweet basket. Thank You Primos! You're so thoughtful!

So there you have it, my Perfect Weekend. I know it has a lot of flaws. Like maybe the constant eating out or constant consumption of Diet Coke but for some reason it's perfect in my eyes. Maybe it's the fact that I get to spend every minute with my Love. My Best Friend. Christopher. And sitting at a table in a restaurant, just talking and enjoying food just sounds so appealing to us. I think it's all just a habit we've created and I know it won't be like this forever, so I guess you can say we're soaking it up and enjoying every minute. I know that's pretty irresponsible, seeing how we're still poor college students, but it's a price I'll pay. I LOVE MY WEEKENDS! & I love spending time with my Christopher! Whether it's running together, going on drives together, eating together or watching our late night shows every night together, 'The Family Guy' or 'The Tonight Show' and falling asleep on the ground every night and then one of us eventually moving the both of us to bed, usually around 2 or 4 in the morning. Love it.

We Heart Family!!

Even though our trip down to AZ this past weekend was very quick and most of the time was spent running and running and some more running, we were able to meet up with some of the family and some of them came to support us at the end of our Race. We love you guys!!

Meeting up with everyone Thursday night at SomeBurros

My Mom, Dad, Grandma, sister JaNae, and two of
her cute kids, Marley and Bronson, came to cheer me on before my last leg

Finally the end and oh SO sweaty!
