It was an ideal way to spend our last 4th in Provo. It started by riding bikes up and down Center Street the night before to take in the Freedom Festival Festivities. I tell ya, Great people watching. Enjoying the fact that downtown Provo is more alive on the Eve of the 4th than "Mill" is on New Years Eve....Ok, maybe not, but the Provo Freedom Festival is the most exciting event of the year, that's for sure! The streets are lined with tents, couches, sleeping bags, blankets...all for people to camp out(starting at 3pm the day before) to reserve a good seat for the 4th of July Parade!! Hooray! Chris and I found that inviting yourself onto the reserved Nuskin Bleachers gives you the best seat in town! Thanks Nuskin!

That morning, we got up at the buttcrack of dawn to peddle as fast as our lathargic legs could go to make it to the Hot Air Balloon Show...again, it was ridiculousy lively! I just couldn't believe all the cute families I saw that were already all done up in their cute festive-wear! I mean, those moms had to have woken up at 4am just for this little event. Pretty cool!

After that, we peddled on over to Einsteins and enjoyed watching the 5k/10k. We then watched our last Utah Parade Extravaganza! Wait...July 24!! You know what that date is? Pioneer Day of course! I've heard there's another killer parade up in SLC...we just may be attending that. Then maybe we'll make our way over to the Original Pancake House...mmmmm! It's a plan.
Anyway, our 4th of July weekend was a blast...we did a lot of bike riding, took in all of the Freedom Festival Activities, and we even did a couple of bbq's (by ourselves...us losers have no more friends or family up here :)
